Iron Man 2 Sketch Cards

My Iron Man 2 cards were approved. I can’t remember when this set comes out. Pretty soon I would think.

One of the things I learned on this set is that the old, bulky costume was more fun to do. It was easy to reflect the background into the armor giving it a little more life.

First post of 2010

The end of 2009 found me finishing up cards for Upper Deck’s Iron Man 2 set. From there I dove headfirst into Rittenhouse’s Marvel 70th Anniversary cards. Those, as well as a Voltron set, are due at the end of the month. I also owe people commissions.

Christmas and the New Year really took more out of me than I thought. I’m struggling to get back into the routine. The freezing weather here (we’re about 20 degrees below normal here in NC) seems to be making it harder to be zealous in my work. Or maybe it’s the shorter days. Either way, my mind is wondering.

Here’s the first commission of the year. A Star Wars pair.

Zombie vs Cheerleaders

Here is the first batch of cards for 5finity’s Zombie vs Cheerleaders set. I don’t relish the idea of girls being eaten by zombies. So in my world, cheerleaders always win.

uStream and sketch cards

Thanks to all of you who stopped by to chat while I worked on sketch cards last night. I had fun, and think that I’m going to make it a regular Wednesday night thing. Every Wednesday ad 8pm Eastern Time.

I only had 4 gray markers and one light blue one. Fortunately there was a request for Aalya Secura…the blue Jedi. Here are the what the cards look like finished.
